Administrative Team

I became a teacher because I wanted to change the world.  I wanted the world to be a bit better because of my work.  This is what I want for all students at Pioneer Middle School: to believe that they have the power and voice to impact not only their school, but the community and world they live in.

At Pioneer we work to live our Mission Statement every day: to prepare ALL students for success in high school and participation in a global society.  We believe that ALL students can learn and achieve at high levels, and that they can positively impact the world around them.  Our students will work hard every day to become learners, critical thinkers and global citizens.  They will see their role in the community, not as recipients, but as contributors.  They will be the captains of their own ships, not sails to blow with the wind.

The role of education is to open doors; to provide a wealth of opportunities for students to choose from so that they may live the lives they imagine, rather than the lives they settle for.  None of our students should ever feel that their possibilities are limited.  They should see their brightest futures not as distant dreams, but as solid plans that they work towards every day.  

School should be a place where all students are safe, supported and challenged to own their lives and choose the paths they walk down.
