Throughout October, Family Engagement Coordinator Pam Clayton led a successful outreach campaign, calling on the community to contribute clothing and personal hygiene items for families in need.

On Friday, November 8, from 2:30-3:30pm, Pioneer will have members of the Wa-Hi JROTC on campus to honor our Veterans in our annual Veterans Day Assembly. While we can't accommodate all families, we invite any veterans or active military family members to join us. We thank all our veterans and active military for their service and sacrifice. There will be No School on Nov 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

Orange was the color of the day as students and staff across the district came together to celebrate Unity Day, a special time to reflect on the importance of kindness, acceptance and inclusivity.
School board members honored Pioneer Middle School teacher Yuri Can with a Building Belonging Award. The Building Belonging Award is a student/staff recognition program aligned to the district’s "We All Belong Here" unity message promoting a civil, safe and compassionate learning environment.
Monday, 4th and 7th grade students from Walla Walla Public Schools were treated to an engaging performance of tribal drumming and dancing by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) at Cordiner Hall on the Whitman College campus.
Every year, the third week of October is coined Digital Citizenship Week. Teachers use this time to teach about digital citizenship and support students in developing the skills they need to use devices safely, ethically and effectively.
